It is damned hard to do a review when you are so knocked on your ass by the recording all you want say is:
THIS CD KNOCKED ME ON MY ASS.

Well, what the hell...
"BURN ALIVE" BY HIDDEN NUMBER KNOCKED ME ON MY ASS!

The ten songs found on "Burn Alive" by the (Pacific) Northwest's Hidden Number are pedal to the floor, don't look back, herky-jerky neo-wave that features sounds SO ANGULAR AS TO BE JAGGED. Synths, guitars and vocals lope and rage back and forth between the speakers with such pummeling power that they wouldn't even bother to stop and SKULL FUCK the wasted corpse of electroclash to let the listener catch their breath.

The closest I can compare this to is like Trenchmouth and Girls Against Boys RIOTING at a Brianiac concert... but more punishingly (punk) rock than that. The closest musical cousin they may have right now is Milwaukee's IfIHadAHiFi, I guess they're like them but with LESS SCIENCE AND MORE BONE CRUSHING.

So, go.. buy this already.

Favorite Tracks:
The apocalyptic palsy of "Acrobatics"
"Kickfite" which is one of the best songs I've heard in years.
