ALBUM REVIEW:

White sound like they come from some sort of alternate reality.
An alternate reality where "industrial" never morphed into heavy metal disco made by computrers.
It just so happens that this alternate reality is in contemporary China.

White's self titled debut is really, really good. It somehow manages to evoke both pre *and* post induetrial while mixing it with the fearlessness of post punk. If industrial hadn't taken the fundament shattering noise of Throbbing Gristle and transformed it into modern dance music if it had kept the geeky-oddness and then had the guts to mix it with the quiet, self-assured experimentalism of Sonic Youth... then you'd have White.

Anyone interested in electoric based music would be doing themselves a favor by checking out this CD.
